Drysdale Library, Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria

The Drysdale Library is located on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, and is positioned in the core of the shopping centre. The designer has used a beautiful circular design that allows entry from the upper and lower levels with a central feature roof garden.

The lower level is for the children with the use of Nofred Mouse chairs and tables, and the Lily Acoustic lights to control the sound transfer. The Easyboy tables are provided along the timber bench seating for use with laptops and for reading material. The Stamp chair on a sled base is used in the auditorium room as it is stackable and provides flexibility to the space with folding tables available for different room configurations.

On the upper levels the Kinnarps Dropp chairs are interspersed amoung the book shelves, and around the perimeter glass to the garden area. These chairs are great for sitting and reading, and have good arm rests providing support and mobility access for the elderly people that use the Library. Two oval shaped meeting rooms in orange provide a great location for dedicated discussion and focused presentations. The stamp chairs are also positioned along the curved perimeter timber bench and the stamp chair with gas lift is provided to the computer locations.
