Grounds Collection at Arts Centre Melbourne’s 40th Anniversary

K5 Furniture is thrilled to present this October its latest installation for the Grounds Collection at Arts Centre Melbourne, coinciding with the 40th-anniversary celebrations of the Theatres Building and Spire. The exhibition pays homage to Sir Roy Grounds, the visionary architect behind the original Arts Centre design.

The Grounds Collection captures the spirit of timeless design, much like the architectural masterpiece that Grounds left behind. Inspired by his philosophy of simple yet bold, geometric forms, this collection brings modern furniture that echo the same understated elegance and were designed for compact living.

This installation is perfect timing for the 40th anniversary , bringing fresh, functional aesthetics into a space that has stood as an iconic cultural hub for four decades. The synergy between the collection’s design and the venue’s architectural story celebrates the intersection of old and new, legacy and innovation. 

As Arts Centre Melbourne reflects on 40 years, K5’s installation offers an opportunity for the public to experience the collection. A moment to honour Grounds’ lasting legacy from 28th of October to the 5th of November, 2024.
